"From 1943 I started to build my first models, dedicating myself initially to the propeller driven aircraft. In the early 1960 I realized the first models of motorboats. Always searching for new challenges I passed to more complex models, accomplishing galleon San Felipe, the frigate USS Bonhomme Richard and others. In 1993 I started to build the vessel Victory (with the "inner section") entirely handmade without any assembly kit, employing about 6000 hours of work. Here are the photos of this boat"

The static model boat antique lovers is considered more an art than a hobby, because without a real artistic sensibility is hardly possible to achieve satisfactory results. In particular requires an absolute mastery of techniques and materials used, an almost obsessive search for the original sources, documents, iconographic studies, treatises on naval architecture, a good knowledge of maritime history and to end long-running.
Perhaps less poetic, but generally the simplest, is the construction of models of modern boats. The subjects are often warships, especially the second world war, or merchant ships.
